I initially wrote this as a comment on a high school friend (Stuart Huggins)of mine’s Facebook and decided to share it here as a blog

WATCH THE WEDNESDAY SERIES AND THE ORIGINAL MOVIES

After watching all of Wednesday the Netflix series (8.5/10 ⭐️) I decided to watch both of the Addams Family movies with the young Christina Ricci.  
While those films are not intended to be part of or “prequel” the Wednesday series, they still work.  
To me it exemplifies how a lot of us had two distinctly different lives growing up: Home and school. If you include the films (even though there’s different actors playing family members) I get the sense and feel of how Wednesday needed her separation from her “crazy” and chaotic “film family” household and attempt to have more control of her away at school life. 
It is very easy to see how and why the writers and producers knew that a Wednesday “spinoff” would work above any other family member. 
I remember enjoying Addams Family the movie a lot. Addams Family Values, not as much. But watching them along with Wednesday the series works for me. 
It’s probably because of Christina Ricci’s performance as Wednesday Addams. As good as Jenna Ortega’s take on Wednesday is, Christina’s version was the first to really put a light on Wednesday’s darkness with her performance. Just watching the scene in Family Values where Wednesday forces herself to smile! THAT is some genius acting. 
Go back and watch the OG movies and you’ll appreciate “Wednesday” even more 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

After driving through the night on Friday, we arrived in Alpena, MI early Saturday morning and played the Alpena Blues Fest ths past Saturday night! We were tired but never too tired to play!  We had a great time and we look forward to seeing you again real soon!

I'd like to thank everyone who attended our show this past weekend in Toledo at the NW Ohio Jazz & Blues Fest!

We just got in from a long drive where we played three shows in Florida: The Bamboo Room in Lake Worth, Aces Lounge in Bradenton, and The Palaka Blue Crab Festival. We had an absolute blast!!! I'd like to thank everyone who came out to our shows -- we'll see you next time!
